Our journey began in 1980 with the dreams and determination of Mr. Shambhu Singh Gahlot, a visionary from the humble village of Lawan in Rajasthan, India. Balancing his education and farming, Mr. Gahlot was deeply influenced by the art of carpet making, a passion nurtured by his father, the late Mr. Ganga Shaya Singh. With unwavering support and an indomitable spirit, Mr. Gahlot transformed a modest village enterprise into a symbol of excellence.

Starting with a few looms and a dream, Mr. Gahlot faced financial constraints but remained persistent in his commitment to quality. His perseverance paid off as Gahlot International grew into a thriving business, empowering countless villagers by roviding them with livelihoods by creating exquisite handmade products.

Today, Gahlot International is a beacon of cultural heritage and contemporary design. Our collection includes handmade rugs, carpets, bags, baskets, cushions, and furniture, each piece a testament to the skill and dedication of our artisans. Many of our artisans come from rural backgrounds, and their heartfelt commitment transforms each item into a masterpiece.

Our commitment extends beyond craftsmanship to sustainability and ethical production. We responsibly source materials and use
eco-friendly processes, ensuring minimal environmental impact. Supporting local communities is at our core, providing fair wages and working conditions to over 500 artisans. These artisans are not just workers; they are our family, and their well-being drives us to elevate Gahlot International to greater heights.

We have been honored with the National Merit Certificate for innovative designs in jute and cotton rugs, awarded by the
honorable President of India, Mr. Pranab Mukherjee, in 2013 and 2014. This prestigious award is a testament to our dedication to pushing the boundaries of traditional craftsmanship and design.
